Earth Day Freebie!

Earth Day is fast approaching and I would like to share a quick and easy resource to raise awareness in your classroom about keeping the earth clean. Although it can be tough to squeeze in many of the holiday or seasonal activities with the demands of curriculum, I've found it very encouraging to see how even a 5 minute conversation about something can inspire students to make a change.

This freebie can be used as a "pledge" where student signatures at the bottom represent their promise to help save the earth. It can be used to hang up in the hallways, as part of a bulletin board, or can even be sent home to grace the refrigerators of your students. Taking time out of your normal "curriculum" routine will show students that the topic you're talking about is worth their time. If you're taking time away from math to talk about Earth Day- it must be important! If it's important to you, it's important to them! Your motivation to make a difference in the world will be contagious, and I've enjoyed watching small ideas or conversations snowball into great change!

Happy Earth Day!
